one night stand

He left his GPS in the hurry and by the time he realized that, it was too late. He was already on the interstate, taken a wrong exit and was completely lost. On top of that he being extremely conscious about not becoming a Consumer never had a smart phone. So to sum up the situation he was clueless. It was so frustrating that he could not stop blaming himself for being horny all the time and not planning things ahead of time. The character in context, I need to explain here now we are seeing, was rushing to meet a guy he just “met” online to hook up with. This was not in any way his first “one night stand” but for some weird reason even after repeating this act of driving for miles to a hotel to meet with a stranger to have sex with, he still felt so nervous that most of the time he ended messing something or the other. Anyway now his only concern was to get back home without driving for hours. Fortunately soon enough he found an exit to the highway he was used to with and started to relax a bit. And exactly that is when once again he nearly passed by an exit that would take him back to the hotel where his “date” was waiting. All this while after he got lost and found his way back and driving at seventy miles per hour he was constantly texting his date to keep him updated. Most probably for a normal “human being” in a situation like this, he would have rejected the idea of hooking up and kept driving straight towards safety. But well when we are talking about horny men, no rational thinking works apparently. So in spite of nearly passing the exit for the hotel and noticing a car behind him on his blind spot, his adrenalin rush and accelerator synchronized and he took the exit. Finally he parked in the parking lot of the hotel and texted his date, and while waiting for the reply he expected a quick fuck and heading back home to meet his best friend who was coming back from a trip to spend the night with him in 5 hours. Convenient and fun he thought! Before he waited for long the date texted him the room number and up he went taking the elevator. When he knocked at the door, there was some anticipation about who would be on the other side, although he had seen a picture of the date on the sex site they were on, but a lot of time pictures are photoshopped. The door opened and the date was standing there with a nice grin on his face. The date was pretty attractive, actually extremely cute, he thought in mind and smiled and all this driving, getting lost and finding way back seemed justified. They started the usual small talk, like how did the date, who obviously was a visitor in the area, liked the place, if he had gone for site seeing etc etc. Although they were having these small talks to make the situation look less sluty, but the idea of getting into each other’s pants kept coming back in their minds. And that is when both realized that both forgot about the “supplies”. Damn! He thought in his mind- now do not tell me I have to go back after all this driving without the “actual thing”. But the date seemed extremely sympathetic of the situation and offered to go to the gas station next door and buy whatever they would need. It sounded a little absurd to go and buy stuff after he was there, but he thought, heck with it, now that I am here so I want it. As they started towards the gas station walking next to each other they started a conversation. About aspirations and love, about past that both have lived and future both are apprehensive about. Dangerous stuff to talk about on a one night stand. The mantra to a great fling is to never show your human sides and just to fuck and move on. But somehow they both started sharing. And it seemed that to make situation worse or by some divine intervention the first gas station did not have the supplies they were looking for. So they had to walk more to the next one which was a quarter of a mile away.  During this walk he discovered that the date was an extremely well spoken, pretty well traveled, and sensitive human being. The more they talked more they realized that both stand in similar situations in life, lonely, craving for love but still horny and ending up with one night stands. Once they both got comfortable with each other, it was easy for them to start showing the vulnerable sides of each other, and with every step they took towards the hotel room back, both felt an attraction that was absurd, nearly comparable to teenage infatuation! Back in the room, time somehow slowed down for them, where he originally had the plan of finishing it up in half an hour and head home, they kept talking, two naked bodies and equally naked minds craving each other, laughing and crying together. At some point he realized this whole situation was too good to be true, and told his date it feels like a Hollywood movie plot at the back drop of New York City. So his date smiled, one of those charming and at the same time killer ones, and said why I not make it more movie like. And he did the most unusual thing, the date promised to come back to meet him in four days and spend the day with him. From that time onwards things became magical, they made plans, shared stories from growing up, in four hours they were living the joy of a life time. Both had apprehension and were conscious about the absurdness of the promises that they were making to each other, but at the same time it felt the only organic thing to be done. As their heart paced towards an unknown and unexplored dream undulating between reality and fiction, the time in real world was also moving fast and he knew he needed to wake up from this dream and go home and become “normal” with his friend who would be there soon. When the time to say good bye came closer, they held each other in arms, two rib cages pressed against each other, with emotions welling up in their eyes, and reminded each other of the meeting that they would have in four days. A one night stand that was just supposed to be for instant gratification turned into a time of bliss. Bliss so profound that it was outside explanation. He walked towards his car, weighing the possibility of never meeting his date again, but he did not feel pain, as he knew this memory will live life long. A memory where everything was right, where someone loved him, promised him, and understood him. When he finally reached his car he sent a text to his date, “hey you can see me from you window now”….
